Online Driving Licence & Vehicle Services by Government of India
Parivahan Sewa is an integrated online transport service portal developed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India. The main objective of this platform is to bring all Regional Transport Office (RTO) and District Transport Office (DTO) services under one digital system.
Earlier, citizens had to visit RTO offices multiple times for driving licence applications, vehicle registration, address updates, tax payments and permit-related services. Parivahan Sewa has simplified this entire process by allowing users to complete most services online with transparency and real-time tracking.
The portal plays a major role in the Digital India initiative by reducing paperwork, preventing fraud, maintaining a centralized national database and improving service delivery across all states and union territories.
Parivahan Sewa allows citizens to apply for all driving licence-related services online. Users can apply for Learner Licence (LL), Permanent Driving Licence (DL), renewal of expired licences, duplicate DL in case of loss, and change of address. The portal also provides appointment booking for driving tests and biometric verification.
Vehicle owners can manage all Registration Certificate (RC) services online through Parivahan Sewa. From new vehicle registration to ownership transfer, all details are stored securely in the national transport database.
Commercial vehicle owners can apply for national permits, state permits, vehicle fitness certificates and transport-related approvals online. These services reduce delays and ensure transparency.
Parivahan Sewa supports secure online payments through debit card, credit card, net banking and UPI. Users can also track their application status in real time using application or vehicle number.
